D.a.T. SaUcE Songwriting Contest Winners
D.a.T. SaUcE had so many entries from across the country for our first D.a.T. SaUcE Songwriting Competition. We were blown away by so much incredible talent. Our 1st place winner ($500) was Michael Mccall of Monticello, MS. Our 2nd place winner was Lance Dubroc ($100)of Port Barre, Louisiana. Both writers also won a slot in the Road To 3rd Street – Songs on the Bayou Songwriters Festival in Morgan City, La April 5015, 2018, free attendance for all songwriting workshops of the conference during the festival, free D.a.T. SaUcE and D.a.T. KeTcHuP, as well as a free Bayou Photo Shoot by LA Portrait Gallery Photography. Both artists were so amazing, they were also invited to be Official Artists of the Last Honky Tonk Music Series. (We are the proud national sponsors of the Series and D.a.T. SaUcE and LHTMS work closely together in helping artists across the country).
Michael McCall’s winning song was called “Wooden Church”. See the official video:
Lance Dubroc’s 2nd place entry was called “Don’t Make A Fool Of Me”. Here he is pictured with Scott Green of D.a.T. SaUcE out on the bayou of Lake End Park in Morgan City, La during our kick off party.
Here they are performing at the Headlining event at NicoBella during the festival on Friday, April 17.
